Blake abruptly dumped Trista two months before high school graduation when he learned she chose Stanford over where he was going to college.He never forgot her and knows he owes her a big apology. Talked into attending his high school reunion, Blake ends up working with Trista to make sure it is a big success. Caryn, Blake's rebound and cheating ex, is determined to land her man this time. With all the drama and angst we knew in high school, you will enjoy this book. Does Blake get the cheer leader or the valedictorian? I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Blake is a billionaire, who has been asked to come back home for his high school reunion. He has always wanted to apologize to his best friend and love for the way he left Trista. Trista is helping decorate for the Reunion when Blake comes in asking if they need help. This is a great book but you will need to bring some tissues.
The story a light read and held my interest. No sex or swear words. It held my interest. Blake seemed a little immature. First in high school when he broke up with Trista, and second when he brought his friend to his 10 year class reunion. Was he scared? I like second chance romances but 10 years of separation is too long apart to be believable to me. Neither has moved on and it just doesn't seem real. I would recommend to all ages.
This HS sweethearts reunited theme has a n eventual HEA in a rated 'G' setting. There's no hanky panky but there is some love flourishing between Trista and Blake.Ten years after their separation at graduation they get together and take a vow for an eternity together.I found their planning and decorating for their HS reunion to be reminiscent of my HS dad says as well as those I experienced while teaching at a HS. What really shocked me was reading about them being locked in at the HS overnight. I've experienced the lock-in fright after an athletic event and it's creepy as can an be.There are some parts of this book that appear to have amateurish writing or thinking, southern colloquial language, and a few other surprises a good editor would fix. Somehow or other I'm able to look at most of them as refreshingly different. This is the second book I've read by this author. I recommend 'The Billionaire's First Love' by Murdock which may still be free.I Voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
It was an okay read. I liked the second chance aspect. Little fast with the renewed relationship but I suppose I can let that slide a bit. The only sticky point for me was the last chapters when I felt like money was a huge, huge selling point and being a billionaire makes it okay to act a ‘certain way’.
I liked this. You think that people change from when they were high school. Some do but some stay the exact same but just aged. I would like to believe that the H/h has changed. Yes they did but not as much as what I thought. Would have like to see them through the years not just when the reunion months. I want to know my re what what they both do, also more interactions between the two. This is a clean, quick second chance romance and I would recommend this book.I voluntarily reviewed this as an arc.
This is a revisit to high school. At your tenth year reunion you get to see how people change and grow and others who are stuck in the past. As with this sweet romance they get a second chance to get it right. Also you get that drama part where someone always thinks they are better than others and they can have anything and anyone. There is also forgiveness. Want a late night read that is sweet than this is it.
A quick, clean read. I thought things could have been wrapped up better with Caryn, and I took a star off for some proofing errors, but overall enjoyed this sweet story about a couple who gets to answer that age-old question of what might have been. I actually wouldn’t mind knowing more about how Tyler and his wife got together, too.I received a free copy, and this is an honest review.
